Initiatives
Beyond day‑to‑day freight, JEM Logistics is involved in a number of initiatives that reflect our values: practical support, specialist expertise, and giving back to the community. These projects show how our logistics capabilities can make a difference both globally and locally.
Supporting Operation Florian and global fire and rescue projects We work in tandem with the National Fire Brigade charity Operation Florian, which supplies used fire and rescue equipment to developing countries. This includes fire engines, protective clothing and breathing apparatus, helping to strengthen front‑line emergency response where resources are limited.
JEM Logistics arranges all shipping for these donations, managing both containerised shipments and roll‑on/roll‑off movements for fire engines. Working with Operation Florian, we have helped send vital equipment to countries such as Zimbabwe and Ukraine.
Specialist cross‑trade movements of ex‑military jet aircraft JEM Logistics is a specialist in cross‑trade movements of ex‑military jet aircraft, including types such as the Hawker Hunter and L‑39 Vodochody Albatros. These complex, high‑value moves demand meticulous planning, technical understanding and trusted global partners.
We support a client based in Canada that provides tactical combat training for Canadian, United States and NATO forces, as well as test pilot training. Our role is to coordinate and oversee the movement of these aircraft between countries, ensuring compliance, safety and reliability at every stage.
Backing grassroots sport and community activities
Closer to home, we are committed to supporting our local community. JEM Logistics is an active supporter and sponsor of local organisations that promote grassroots sport and community activities.
By backing these initiatives, we aim to help create opportunities for people of all ages to get involved, stay active and develop skills and confidence. It is one of the ways we put our values into practice and help make a positive difference in our local area.
